Building effective relationships with Service Animals
This course will help people understand their natural communication style, their own personal strengths and weaknesses. Also how to recognize others’ styles and how they differ from their own. To develop techniques to adapt to others to build stronger relationships – with colleagues, teams, stakeholders and customers.
Course Target
To develop an in-depth understanding and practical skills of:
- Emotional intelligence
- How we naturally communicate with others
- How we can build rapport faster with others.
Audience
Anyone – could be individuals, an intact team, a group of managers etc.
At Course Completion you will be able to:
- Understand your own unique communication style.
- Maximize your strengths in communication and be aware of potential weaknesses.
- Recognize others preferred communication style and adapt to them build rapport with others faster.
Prerequisites
You should complete the Service Animals (SA) questionnaire, watch the introductory video, and review their personalised report. This process should be initiated one month before the training session.
Training materials
Training materials prepared by the course instructor. For the training process you will need a laptop projector and flipchart in venue, and sufficient space to roll out SA mat.
Certification Exam
Not intended.
Course Outline
- Emotional intelligence – what is it and why is it important.
- How we build effective relationships with others and why it’s a critical business skill.
- Overview of the Service Animals model – and in depth understanding of each style.
- Recognizing your colleague/stakeholder/customer styles and adapting to them.
Can be adapted if you want to combine with other content – EQ, Communications, Team-building etc.
